Pune, 21st May, 2010: Association of CII Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) and Intellectual Property (IP) India celebrated IP Day on 26th April by felicitating and rewarding individuals & institutions that have excelled in IP protection in India. Bilcare was awarded by the Hon. Minister for highest number of Design Patents in the year 2009 by: Mr. Chandrajit Banerjee, DG CII; Mr. Hari S. Bhatia President Designate, CII; P.H. Kurien Controler General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, IP India.
Mr. Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India was the Chief Guest and give away awards to Individuals and Institutions who have been granted highest numbers of Patents & Trademarks in 2009. This national level recognition & system is aimed to boost sustainable growth IP filings and grant of IP rights. Through this effort India will be required to play greater role in the field of Intellectual property for technology in clean development mechanism, adaptation and mitigation of climate change. The technology created in the times to come must be shared for the benefit of the world.
