(12PressRelease.com) Toronto, Canada â€â€œ GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has released its CWDM GBIC optical transceiver that provides optical networking equipment manufacturers with a timely and cost effective tool in supporting the unceasing demand for higher bandwidth equipment build-outs in enterprise access and metropolitan area networks. It is commonly used in gigabit Ethernet links, high speed I/O for file servers, switch to switch interface and CWDM networks.
This CWDM GBIC optical transceiver, model 0XX132, provides 18 center wavelengths available from 1270nm to 1610nm. It is compliant with Gigabit interface converter specification Rev.5.5, specifications for IEEE-802.3, ITU-T G.694.2 standard and Telcordia (Bellcore) GR-468-CORE. It is equipped with a duplex SC connector which is hot-pluggable and an APD receiver featuring 32dB power budget. The 20nm channel spacing allows for un-cooled laser operation. A PECL logic interface simplifies interface to external circuitry. Moreover, RoHS compliant products are compatible with this optical transceiver.
