(12PressRelease.com) Toronto, Canada GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has announced the release of a high voltage servomotor driver evaluation board designed for high performance DMC system, basing on Texas Instruments TMS320F2812 DSP. It forms a part of a reliable and fast servomotor driver solution consisted of three parts: an EVM2812 board (DSP part), this HVD (driver part) and IB2812 (interface part). It directly connect with one or two DC brush/brushless servomotors, AC asynchronous motors, AC permanent-magnet synchronous servomotors or stepper motors to form a digital servo motion control system.
This high voltage servomotor driver evaluation board, model MCK2812, uses and 80 to 260VAC/DC power supply and offers a maximum peak current of 15A , an output power of up to 2kW, and an alternative driver module output power of up to 5kW. It provides an on-board filter to reduce EMI interference in accordance to the FCC-15 standard and an on-board 60W rebounding power switch to supply large currents safely. It is equipped with IPM module with over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage and over-heat protection, an input interface for incremental photoelectric encoder signals and Hall sensor signals, and a feedback interface for current/velocity/position. It provides 8 channels of isolated power output and 4 independent IPM power supplies to prevent damage from bootstrap recharge. The HVD offers a PWM frequency of up to 20kHz.
