Toronto, Canada - GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) is offering this practical 10/100/1000M media converter used in backbone network transmission and also used for Gigabit Ethernet devices links. It has two types of available network connections namely 10/100/1000M Base-T Gigabit Ethernet UTP port and 1000Base-Sx/LX Gigabit Ethernet Fiber port. The media converter transforms the transmission media of Ethernet signal via CAT5 to optical fiber with typical length of 100 meter. Using the media converter is an economical solution to achieve long distance transmission using the existing infrastructure.
This 10/100/1000M media converter provides 802.3x flow control for full-duplex ports and backpressure for half-duplex ports and operates at a speed of 1000Mb/s over both optical and electric channels. It features single-mode and multi-mode fiber with a transmission distance of up to 80km over single-mode fiber and 550m over multi-mode fiber, extending transmission distance through its photoelectric conversion network. The media converter offers comprehensive fiber types of connections including SC, BiDi and LC. T. It is compliant with RoHS standard and supports auto mode on the TP port.
