Travel portal HolidayCheck breaks another distance barrier by further increasing its international websites. The latest to go online is Chinese HolidayCheck.cn. Chinese holidaymakers can now read and even write reviews in their own language. Booking hotel rooms will soon be possible too. This move places the largest European review portal on a market of over 360 million internet connections.

The new website is particularly valuable for the Chinese, who are naturally long-haul travellers
and until today had far too little travel information available in their own language. Among the most popular destinations in Europe are the UK, Germany and Switzerland, although the first hotel review has been submitted for a hotel in Shanghai.

According to a report of the World Tourism Organization, China will become the world's major travel destination within 2015. It will also represent the largest tourist market in the world.

„China is a huge market, we are very happy to offer our products and services to Chinese customers. It is the market of the future and we hope to contribute in making travelling more pleasant for Chinese travellers thanks to our hotel reviews“, says Friedrich von Scanzoni, Managing Director of the International team at HolidayCheck.

Because of the limited number of holidays available, only 10-15 days, Chinese cannot afford to find unpleasant surprises when choosing a hotel. From now on, HolidayCheck will stand for a safe and transparent travel information source.

HolidayCheck expects 100.000 visitors each month. There are currently 1.3 million reviews of over 82.000 hotels spread in 215 countries worldwide. There are also about 1.4 million photos taken directly by HolidayCheck users, a useful complement to the glossy photos submitted by the Hoteliers.
