The universal programmer is capable of handling many different devices including Programmable Read-Only Memory (PROM), Programmable Logic Devices (PLD), flash microcontrollers and serial or parallel memory. It tests TTL/CMOS logic ICs and dynamic/static Random access memory devices and automatically identifies the manufacturer and type of EPROM. This optimized universal programmer also conducts a poor pin contact check.
The universal programmer, model VP790, supports more than 28000+ devices to meet different needs for device programming and IC testing. In auto-run mode, the VP790 starts programming automatically upon detection of chip insertion. It handles 16 and 32 bit word split under Windows XP/2000/NT/Vista operating systems. The universal programmer accepts standard file formats such as JEDEC, INTEL (Extended) HEX, HOLTEK, EMC (CDS), INTEL HEX16 and Motorola S record. It also supports most compilers in JEDEC format including ABEL, CUPL, PALASM, TANGO PLD, or CAD PLD, PLD Designer and ISDATA. The programmer connects to a PC via USB port. Universal DIP, PLCC, QFP, TSOP, PSOP, SOIC, SSOP, SDIP adapters are available for this advanced programmer.
