Mumbai April 29, 2011: ThinkLABS Technosolutions Pvt Ltd, a pioneer in the fields of hands-on science and technology education in India, brings a unique hands-on learning camp based on Robotics and Virtual Robotics for school children in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune. The camp kicks off on April 25th and will continue till June 20th at different Reliance World outlets across cities.
Hands-on learning is ´learning by doing‘. It has been scientifically proven that by actually doing and experiencing science, students develop their critical thinking skills as well as discover scientific concepts.
ThinkLABS has devised a host of hands-on learning platforms based on Robotics, Virtual Robotics and various other principles of Science. Robocamp gels well into the academic syllabi as all modules have been designed keeping in mind the curriculum relevance for the classes to which they cater to and will give your child an edge over others to understand and appreciate science.
Students participating in the Robocamps become eligible for ThinkLABS‘ national Robotics Championship TRiCKS, 2011 and hence stand to get a chance to visit International Educational destinations of repute like Kennedy Space Center (NASA), CERN Nuclear Research Center -Geneva, Technorama Science Center - Zurich, Paris Science Center, Singapore Science Center (p.s: The names of the institute mentioned are tentative)
Commenting on the launch of Robocamp, Gagan Goyal, Founder and Director, ThinkLABS Technosolutions, said, “ThinkLabs has been working towards adding a whole new dimension to science and technology education in India and making learning a lot more fun and interactive. We have noticed immense potential in Mumbai school students in the past Robocamps. 11 years old Anjal Parikh from Mumbai and 13 years old Anudruth Manjunath from Bangalore participated in our National Robotics Competition Tricks 2010 and won a trip to NASA. This year too, our endeavour will be to reach out to a huge number of school students and introduce the wonderful world of Robotics and Virtual Robotics.”
ROBOCAMPTM has been designed keeping the academic curricula in mind. Besides introducing participants to Robotics, the camp will elucidate many principles of Science and Mathematics through interesting demonstrations and hands-on robot building sessions. ThinkLABS‘ trainers will train young minds create an amazing variety of Robots like Scorpion, Gripper, Soccer Playing Robot, Line Follower, Obstacle Avoiding Robot, etc.
Spread over 6 days ThinkLABS‘ ROBOCAMPâ„¢ provides hands-on exposure to robot programming using hardware and software. Participants would spend two hours every day in the cool and comfortable environs learning how to build and program robots using sophisticated robotic kits. Depending on the type of program they choose, at the end of the camp, the children would be able to take home the robot they built.
ROBOCAMPâ„¢ Junior and ROBOCAMPâ„¢ VIRTU is for students in classes IV onwards, while ROBOCAMPâ„¢ Senior and ROBOCAMPâ„¢ ADVANCE SENIOR is for students in classes VII to XII.
Each batch comprises not more than 10 students and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested students are advised to visit Reliance World and register for ROBOCAMPâ„¢ at the earliest.
